Meet The Team

Austin Ball, SRA

Owner

Austin was raised in a ‘real estate family’ in Hannibal, Missouri. His family is the proprietor of a prestigious local real estate company and they have long been investors in the local market. Austin studied business at Columbia College and quickly turned his passion for real estate into a career as an appraiser. Following graduation, Austin became a licensed real estate appraiser in the state of Missouri. He has been active in the field since 2005. In 2015, Austin received his SRA designation from the Appraisal Institute. His experience ranges from both residential and commercial appraisals.

Austin and his wife reside in Columbia, Missouri, where they balance raising their three girls, Parker Jane, Perrin and Porter, while also managing a number of rental and investment properties.

Brent Burris

Appraiser

Brent joined the APA, Inc. family in 1992. He has a Residential Certification in the State of Missouri, and brings vast experience in 1-2 property types across all counties we serve. Brent is dedicated to his family, and enjoys spending his free time with his kids and granddaughter.

Roger Lawrence

Appraiser

Roger has been a dedicated member of APA, Inc. since 1991. He has a Residential Certification in the State of Missouri, and brings vast experience in 1-2 property types across all counties we serve.

In his free time, Roger enjoys spending time with his grandkids and riding his Harley motorcycles.

Tara Arnett

Appraiser

Tara is originally from Lebanon, MO and came to Columbia, MO on a golf scholarship to the University of Missouri. She graduated from Mizzou in 2004 with a dual degree in Finance & Banking and Real Estate with a Psychology minor. Upon graduation, Tara began working for a local bank where she worked in all areas of lending and credit for 16 years, with 10 of those years specifically supporting the lending appraisal function.

Tara resides in Columbia with her husband, Brock, and their three children Logan, Reagan, and Blair. In her spare time, she enjoys golfing, Mizzou athletics., and being active with her family. 

Erica Murphy

Office Manager

Erica is the Office Manager for APA, Inc. She specializes in organizing office operations and ensures that APA, Inc. functions with maximum efficiency. She began her career with APA, Inc. in 1993 and is a vital part of our team.
